Binyamina Winery was established in 1952 by Joseph Zeltzer, an immigrant to Israel, desiring to to produce wine as he did in Hungary. Initially called Eliaz Winery—after the owner’s son who fell in the War of Independence, it started out in a region considered to be Israel’s wine region.

Tasting Note
RED FRUIT, SLIGHTLY SEASONED WITH A PINCH OF GREEN SCENTS. A MEDIUM BODIED, RICHLY FLAVORED WINE YOGEV CABERNET SAUVIGNON-MERLOT IS MADE FOR DRINKING NOW, WITH MILD HERB AND RED AND BLACK FRUIT ON THE NOSE. THE PALATE ENCOUNTERS A WELL-BALANCED, RICH WINE WITH MEDIUM BODY, AND NOTES OF BLACKBERRY, PLUM AND CHASSIS ARE SUPPORTED BY OAK, GIVING THE WINE A SOFT SILKY PALATE. WITH PROPER STORAGE CONDITIONS, THE WINE CAN AGE WELL FOR UP TO FOUR OR FIVE YEARS, BUT IS BEST WHEN ENJOYED YOUNG.
