Tasting Note
AROMA (NOSE): INTENSE AND LAYERED. AROMAS OF RIPE BLACKCURRANT, BLACKBERRY, AND BLACK CHERRY FROM THE CABERNET SAUVIGNON LEAD THE WAY, FOLLOWED BY HERBAL AND FLORAL NOTES — LAVENDER, TOBACCO LEAF, AND CRUSHED VIOLETS — CONTRIBUTED BY THE CABERNET FRANC. HINTS OF PLUM, COCOA, AND SWEET SPICES (CLOVE, VANILLA) EMERGE FROM THE MALBEC AND OAK AGING. PALATE: FULL-BODIED WITH A FIRM STRUCTURE. THE CABERNET SAUVIGNON PROVIDES BOLD TANNINS AND DARK FRUIT, WHILE THE CABERNET FRANC BRINGS FRESHNESS, ACIDITY, AND A SAVORY EDGE. MALBEC SOFTENS THE BLEND, ADDING ROUNDNESS AND MID-PALATE JUICINESS. NOTES OF DARK CHOCOLATE, BLACK PEPPER, CEDAR, AND ESPRESSO DEVELOP AS IT OPENS. FINISH: LONG, BALANCED FINISH WITH LINGERING NOTES OF BLACK FRUIT, SPICE, AND DRIED HERBS.
