Domaine du Castel
Born in cosmopolitan Alexandria and educated in England, Italy and Switzerland, winemaker Eli Ben Zaken moved to Israel, first working in agriculture and later in the restaurant business. Eli had no formal winemaking education; when he had to decide whether or not to turn Domaine du Castel from a hobby into a formal business he was faced with a formidable challenge.
Tasting Note
RAZIEL BLANC IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SUPPLE TEXTURE AND AN AROMATIC COMPLEXITY. THE FLAVORS OF DECIDUOUS YELLOW FRUIT ARE BALANCED BY THE COMPLEX AROMA OF OAK BARREL AGING. NEVERTHELESS, THE WINE MAINTAINS A PRECISE ACIDITY, LEAVING A REFRESHING AND LENGTHY FINISH.

RAZIEL BLANC IS WONDERFUL TO DRINK AS IS, OR AS A PERFECT PARTNER FOR FISH AND POULTRY, AND EVEN WITH A MILDLY PIQUANT TOMATO PASTA, STRAIGHT FROM THE POT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.
